About: Libby Wahlstrom is a fundraising professional with 15 years of experience in the field. She began her career at an affordable housing nonprofit in Berkeley, CA before moving to Habitat for Humanity San Francisco and then on to her alma mater, Albion College. In 2012, Libby returned to her hometown of Grand Rapids to take the position of Development Director at the Literacy Center of West Michigan. In her role at the Literacy Center, Libby directs all of the fundraising and communication efforts for the organization. Libby graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in History and Women’s Studies from Albion College.

Hobbies: She and her husband, Andrew, have been married since 2017. They spend their time fixing up their house near Riverside Park in Grand Rapids and corralling their two cats. Libby is an avid reader and knitter, and is active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) of West Michigan and in leadership positions at First (Park) Congregational Church.

Favorite part of the job: Libby's favorite part of the job is getting to work with so many different parts of the organization. I’m able to work with donors, volunteers, board members, learners, and the staff to share and celebrate all the amazing and important work that we do for members of our community.
