The Literacy Center of West Michigan holds four events annually: Spellebration, Wine & Words, Luncheon for Literacy and the Community Literacy Summit.

The Literacy Center of West Michigan’s 11th Annual Wine & Words event will be held at an award-winning historic Heritage Hill home on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017.

This event is a celebration of West Michigan’s efforts to bring about a more just and vibrant West Michigan through the power of literacy.

Guests will enjoy wine, hors d’oeuvres and an opportunity to play word games in one of the most lovingly restored historic homes in Grand Rapids, located at the corner of Fountain and Prospect.

Reading by Third Grade: Our Shared Opportunity, Our Shared Responsibility

The Literacy Center of West Michigan invites you to attend the Sixth Annual Community Literacy Summit on Thursday, January 25, 2018. The Summit seeks to convene community leaders, institutional/policy makers, parents, and educators to discuss and understand the issues and conditions associated with children reading proficiently by the end of third grade. The Summit will create a dynamic space for sharing our understandings and exploring opportunities for optimizing reading success for children in West Michigan.
